Fix Your Vision

While a swing doctor can dial in your mechanics, you need a real M.D. to sharpen your sight. Dr. Mark Whitten, head of Maryland-based Whitten Laser Eye, has done LASIK on several PGA Tour pros, including Tiger Woods and Vijay Singh. "Golfers notice a big improvement on the greens," Whitten says. "It becomes a lot easier to read the breaks and the grain." Not everybody is a good candidate for LASIK. To find out if you are, you'll need to have your corneas topographically mapped. It sounds daunting, but fear not - the painless procedure takes five minutes. The surgery itself, which reshapes your cornea with a laser, is quick and costs about $2,000 per eye.

The fix is permanent, and you should be back on the course in about a week.
