Schedule a Free Consultation

Is LASIK right for you? It is FREE and easy to find out.

Your FREE Consultation is a thorough series of tests which will help Dr. Whitten determine if you are a good candidate for the procedure. The appointment takes about 30 minutes.

Dr. Whitten personally sees each of his patients pre-operatively to discuss your consultation results and answer all of your questions. At many laser centers, you do NOT get the chance to meet your surgeon until the day of surgery.

During your consultation, the Whitten Team will use various instruments and computers to gather hundreds of eye measurements. You will ask have a thorough qualifying eye exam and a detailed discussion about the LASIK procedure. This will help Dr. Whitten determine if LASIK is right for you. And provide you with answers to all of your questions.

Your FREE Consultation Includes:

  • Topography measurement that provides a 3-D reconstruction of the front and back surfaces of your corneas, creating a very accurate ‘map’ of your eyes.
  • A precise test that determines the thickness of your corneas.
  • An evaluation of your general eye health.
  • Automatic readings from a machine to calculate your prescription.

Should you decide to schedule your procedure, Dr. Whitten will use all of this testing information to create a truly customized approach just for your eyes. Dr. Whitten routinely finds approximately 20% of his patients are not good LASIK candidates. He is conservative, and will not recommend the procedure unless you are likely to achieve the best results.
