During your first consultation with an
eye surgeon, Washington
D.C. doctor Mark. E. Whitten and his associates have this advice
on what to expect:
· Not everyone is qualified for surgery and any competent eye
surgeon Washington D.C. has to offer will determine proper
candidacy for the procedure
· The doctor will explain the process in detail and completely
answer any questions
· The extensive eye exam usually includes at least 10 procedures,
some of which are:
Corneal Topography - central corneal elevations
Tonometry - measure intra-ocular pressure (glaucoma check)
Visual Acuity - vision check with and without glasses
Cycloplegic Refraction - determine refractive error using
dilation drops
Ocular Examination Anterior Segment (front of the eye-lids),
conjunctiva, cornea, lens Posterior Segment (back of the eye) -
retina
Your eye surgeon in Washington D.C.'s complete exam takes about an
hour and though vision may be slightly blurry or sensitive to
light afterwards, there generally isn't a problem with driving.
